India infrastructure spending and Delhi-NCR economic expansion

Indian state governments are shifting budget priorities toward capital expenditure to drive long-term economic growth while maintaining fiscal discipline. For FY27, capital outlay across 19 states is projected to grow by 16.4 per cent, significantly outpacing the 9.2 per cent projected growth in revenue expenditure. This shift focuses on infrastructure such as roads, transport networks, irrigation, and power to create a foundation for business expansion and job creation.

In the Delhi-NCR region, infrastructure developments and corporate growth are transforming the real estate landscape. Major corridors, including the Dwarka, Noida-Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressways, are evolving from transit routes into self-sustaining economic ecosystems. This transformation is being driven by the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar and the rise of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), which are attracting commercial hubs, organized retail, and diverse residential developments.
