India is a civilisational power, not revisionist, says Rajnath Singh

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described India as a ‘civilisational power’ during a defence summit in New Delhi. He stated that India is neither a status quoist nor a revisionist power, aiming for a rise characterized by ‘positive change without conflict’ and inclusive global growth rather than dismantling the existing international order.

Singh emphasized that India’s security strategy is increasingly technology-driven, covering domains such as space, cyber, AI, and autonomous systems. He noted that India has successfully conducted flight trials for a long-range hypersonic missile and tested a long-duration scramjet engine.

Addressing regional security, Singh asserted that India will take all necessary measures against terrorism and warned that terrorism cannot be used as a strategic asset by any nation. He maintained that while India seeks global stability, it will not compromise its strategic autonomy or peace for weakness.
