India announces Anganwadi recruitment drives in Telangana and Odisha
The Women Development and Child Welfare Department of Sangareddy District, Telangana, released a notification for 246 Anganwadi posts – 92 Anganwadi Teacher and 154 Anganwadi Helper positions – across five ICDS projects. Applications are accepted online from 6 July to 17 July 2026. Candidates must be women residents of the local area, aged 18‑35, with at least Intermediate qualification for teachers and SSC for helpers. Expected salary ranges are ₹10,000‑₹15,000 for teachers and ₹6,000‑₹8,000 for helpers. No application fee is required.
The Women and Child Development Department of Odisha posted a separate notification for a single Anganwadi Helper vacancy. Applicants must have passed Class XII (Plus II) with Odia as a subject or an equivalent qualification, be aged 18‑35, and will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs 5,000 on a contractual basis. Online applications are open from 4 July to 18 July 2026, and selection will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
Both states require online submissions, verification of documents, and adherence to age and residency criteria. The recruitment drives aim to bolster the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) network in their respective regions.
