India launches My Culture My Story contest to showcase heritage

MyGov has launched the ‘My Culture My Story’ contest, inviting Indian citizens to share unique cultural narratives from their communities, regions, or heritages. The initiative seeks to compile a collection titled ‘100 Stories of India’ to showcase the nation's diverse voices, places, and traditions.

Participants can submit stories across several themes, including traditional arts and crafts, folk music and dance, local festivals, historical or heritage sites, and local cultural personalities. Other eligible topics include traditional practices such as food or agriculture, unique languages and dialects, and lesser-known local legends or cultural narratives.
