India leverages strategic autonomy to expand global diplomatic influence

India is leveraging its strategic autonomy and balanced diplomatic relations to expand its global influence and contribute to regional stability. At the 27th World Korea Forum in New Delhi, Dr. Park Euy Don, President of the Southwest Asia Chapter Council of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, suggested that India’s diplomatic credibility could play a vital role in promoting peace on the Korean Peninsula and reducing tensions.

Simultaneously, senior Indian leaders are conducting high-level engagements across several major powers to advance national interests. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently visited Russia to co-chair the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission, focusing on trade, energy, and defense. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held boundary talks with China to address ongoing border concerns, while other ministers have pursued economic and business outreach in Japan, Canada, and the United States. This multifaceted approach aims to strengthen global partnerships while maintaining the freedom to make decisions independent of specific geopolitical blocs.
