India LPG Cylinder Prices Adjusted on July 1 Amid Wider Policy Changes

On 1 July 2026 India revised LPG cylinder rates as part of a broad set of regulatory updates. Domestic 14.2 kg cylinders kept their prices around ₹942‑₹979 in major cities, while commercial 19 kg cylinders were reduced by about ₹180‑₹200, settling at roughly ₹2,930. This marks the first price cut for commercial cylinders since 2025.

The price shift coincides with other July reforms: passport fees were increased, Aadhaar email‑address updates became free, railway ticket‑fare fines were doubled, credit‑card reward rules were tightened, and vehicle manufacturers announced price hikes of 1‑2 %. State‑run oil firms (IOCL, HPCL, BPCL) set the new LPG rates based on international market trends, and the e‑KYC deadline for LPG connections on 30 June 2026 means subsidies will be withdrawn for non‑compliant users.
