India men's football team to play two friendlies in New Zealand in November 2026

The Indian men's national football team will travel to New Zealand for two FIFA‑window friendly matches on 12 November and 15 November 2026. The first game will be at Go Media Stadium in Auckland and the second at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch.

The fixtures are part of the ‘100 Years of Unity Through Sport’ series announced alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to New Zealand. They mark India’s first ever visit to New Zealand and its first trip to an OFC member nation since 2005. India previously faced New Zealand in 1981 (a goalless draw) and in 2018 (a 2‑1 win). Head coach Khalid Jamil said the matches will provide a valuable challenge against a side with recent World Cup experience.
