India to host mineral auction roadshow in Patna
The Union Ministry of Mines is organizing a roadshow in Patna to promote the 8th tranche of auctions for critical and strategic mineral blocks. The auction includes 20 blocks, consisting of 3 mining leases and 17 composite licence blocks.
The blocks cover various minerals, including graphite, rare earth elements (REE), vanadium, gallium, titanium, molybdenum, tungsten, potash, phosphorite, and glauconite. The event will be chaired by Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey, with participation from Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and officials from the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL).
In addition to the roadshow, a workshop on ‘Mineral Exploration: Planning, Execution and Reporting’ will be held. The program aims to provide investors with an overview of the auction framework, bidding processes, and the National Mineral Exploration and Development Trust (NMEDT) scheme, which offers partial reimbursement for exploration expenses.
