India Mixed Disability cricket team defeats England at Lord's

The Indian Mixed Disability cricket team secured a dominant 118-run victory over England in the seventh and final IT20 match of the series at Lord's Cricket Ground on August 19, 2026.

India posted a series-high score of 206 runs for four wickets, led by Arjun Gawre's 68 runs off 44 balls and captain Majid Magray's unbeaten 63 runs off 19 balls. In response, England was dismissed for just 88 runs. Indian bowlers Hilal Ahmed Wani and Jayesh Parmar led the attack, taking four and three wickets respectively.

Following the win, the Indian players and officials recreated Sourav Ganguly's iconic shirt-waving celebration on the Lord's balcony, a gesture originally performed by Ganguly after the 2002 NatWest Trophy final. While the victory was emphatic, England won the seven-match series 4-3.
