Pakistan and India Open Registrations for Hajj 2027 Pilgrims

Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs began accepting registrations for the Hajj 2027 pilgrimage on 22 June 2026. Applications can be submitted online or at designated banks, are free of charge and will be processed on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said a passport must be valid until 26 November 2027 and that talks with Saudi Arabia are under way to raise Pakistan’s quota from the current 179,210 to roughly 230,000 pilgrims.

India’s Ministry of Minority Affairs announced the Hajj Policy 2027 and opened online applications through the Hajj Committee portal and the Hajj Suvidha app. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju confirmed the quota of 1,75,025 seats (1,22,518 for the Committee, 52,507 for private operators) will stay at a 70:30 split, with plans to seek a higher allocation. The policy adds a better inspector‑to‑pilgrim ratio (1:135), retains the 20‑day Short Hajj Package, adds Kolkata as an embarkation point, aligns medical screening with Saudi guidelines and introduces AI‑driven application verification and multilingual support.
