India opens junior research fellow positions at NCPOR and DRDO CVRDE

The National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR) announced six temporary research fellow vacancies – three Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and two Senior Research Fellow (SRF) posts – with a walk‑in interview scheduled for 9 July 2026 in Vasco‑da‑Gama, Goa. Candidates must be aged 28 years (JRF) or 32 years (SRF), hold a master’s degree with NET/GATE qualification (JRF) or two years of research experience and an SCI publication (SRF), and will receive a stipend of Rs 37,000 (JRF) or Rs 42,000 (SRF) plus HRA.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE) released a notification for 16 Junior Research Fellow positions across mechanical, electrical, electronics‑communication, and computer science engineering. Applications are to be submitted offline by 15 July 2026. Eligibility requires a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech with first‑division marks and a valid GATE score, age limit 28 years (with relaxations for OBC, SC/ST). The selected fellows will receive a monthly salary of Rs 37,000. Selection will involve a written test followed by an interview.
