India-Pakistan Disinformation War Escalates

Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has been linked to a social‑media disinformation campaign targeting Pakistan, according to a digital‑marketing service that allegedly works for RAW. The service uses bots and paid promotional packages to boost anti‑state content about Pakistan’s military and governance, with payments routed through the Stripe gateway.

Separately, Pakistan’s military media wing, the Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR), reportedly held a closed‑door briefing in which senior media executives were instructed to repeatedly broadcast a narrative that India is on the brink of disintegration. The directive aimed to amplify hostile coverage of India and shape public perception.

Both revelations highlight a reciprocal information‑warfare effort between the two nuclear‑armed neighbours, with state actors on each side employing digital tools and media manipulation to influence domestic and international audiences.
