India police arrest suspected drug traffickers in Kerala and Jharkhand

Police in Kerala's Kannur district arrested two men, P. Sunesh (29) and N. Nisar (40), after linking them to a narcotics network that supplied MDMA. The arrests followed the interrogation of suspects involved in a June seizure of 4.6 g of MDMA, and investigators are probing a wider supply chain.

In neighboring operations, Jharkhand police conducted raids under "Operation Prahar" in Palamu district, detaining five alleged drug peddlers, including a Haryana resident, Pargat Singh. The raids seized 724 g of opium, about 50 kg of poppy husk, cash, a car and a motorcycle, and the suspects were placed in judicial custody.
