Delhi Police's Operation Kavach 14.0 arrests over 800 and seizes massive drug caches
Delhi Police carried out Operation Kavach 14.0, a 48‑hour crackdown from June 22‑24 across all 15 districts. The drive involved 4,035 simultaneous raids, resulting in more than 800 arrests—including 255 narco‑offenders and 329 individuals under the Arms Act. Law‑enforcement seized over 237 kg of ganja, 5.1 kg of high‑quality OG ganja, 1.09 kg of heroin, plus quantities of cocaine, MDMA and methamphetamine, and recovered Rs 23.27 lakh in alleged drug money. The operation also dismantled illegal arms networks, arrested 405 bootleggers and confiscated 53,448 quarters of illicit liquor, while arresting around 600 gamblers and seizing Rs 7.16 lakh in cash.
Separately, Delhi police busted a Jahangirpuri‑based family drug racket, recovering Rs 22 lakh in cash, gold jewellery worth Rs 35 lakh and silver jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh, and seized large drug quantities. In a follow‑up excise drive dubbed “Operation Shuddh Prahar,” officers seized 49,000 litres of liquor, 720 beer cans and about Rs 42 k cash on the dry‑day of Muharram.
