India Post announces 60-day bonus for employees

The Indian government has announced a 60-day Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for India Post employees for the 2025-26 fiscal year. According to an order issued by the Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications, the bonus is intended to provide relief during the festive season.

The bonus applies to eligible staff including Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Group ‘C’ non-gazetted, and Group ‘B’ employees. The calculation is based on a bonus pay ceiling of 7,000 rupees. For regular employees, the maximum estimated PLB is approximately 13,816 rupees, calculated using the formula: average salary multiplied by the number of bonus days divided by 30.4.

Eligibility extends to employees who resign, retire, leave service, or go on deputation within the Department of Posts between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.
