India quick commerce market projected to reach $90 billion by 2031
India’s quick commerce market is projected to grow significantly, potentially reaching between $70 billion and $90 billion by 2031, according to a report by Redseer and Google. This represents a five to sevenfold increase from the $13 billion valuation expected in 2026.
Growth is expected to stem from two primary areas: metro markets and non-metro markets. Metro markets are projected to reach $40 billion to $50 billion, accounting for approximately 60% of the total growth. In these areas, platforms aim to increase their share of consumer spending by expanding into non-grocery categories and offering bulk packs for planned purchases.
Non-metro markets are expected to contribute $30 billion to $40 billion, or roughly 40% of the growth. This segment is anticipated to see monthly transacting users (MTUs) rise from 12–16 million to between 55 million and 60 million. Success in these regions may depend on making low-ticket orders viable through delivery incentives, scheduled demand pooling, and improved supply chain infrastructure such as cold chains and farm-direct sourcing.
