India raises concerns over US Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with a bipartisan US Congressional delegation to express concerns regarding the ‘Lindsey O Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026’ (SRIA). The delegation was led by Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the discussions focused on the potential implications of the SRIA legislation for bilateral relations between India and the United States, as well as its impact on the international energy market. The meeting also addressed broader issues of mutual concern, including energy security, counter-terrorism, and freedom of navigation.
