India RBI Announces June 2026 Bank Holiday Closures

The Reserve Bank of India’s official calendar for June 2026 lists several bank holidays. Physical branches will be closed from June 25 to June 28, a four‑day stretch that includes a regional holiday in Vijayawada on June 25, nationwide closures on June 26 and the fourth Saturday, June 27, and the regular Sunday holiday on June 28. Additional regional closures are scheduled for June 29 in Shimla and June 30 in Aizawl. The RBI also confirms that banks remain open on the third Saturday, June 20, as only the second and fourth Saturdays are designated weekend closures. Throughout the month, digital services such as UPI, NEFT, IMPS and online banking continue operating 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted access to funds even when branches are shut.

Customers are advised to check the RBI schedule for any regional variations and can rely on ATMs and digital channels for cash withdrawals and transfers during the closure days.
