India cuts commercial LPG cylinder price by Rs 183.50, 19‑kg cylinders now Rs 2,930
On 1 July 2026 India’s oil‑marketing companies reduced the price of 19‑kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 183.50. In Delhi the new retail price is Rs 2,930, down from Rs 3,113.50, and similar reductions were applied in other cities – Mumbai (Rs 2,884), Kolkata (Rs 3,081.50), Chennai (Rs 3,099), Lucknow (Rs 3,052.50), Patna (Rs 3,227) and others. The price cut also applied to 5‑kg free‑trade LPG (FTL) cylinders, lowered by Rs 13 to Rs 808.50 in Delhi. Domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) were left unchanged at Rs 942. The move follows a series of price hikes earlier in the year caused by supply concerns linked to West‑Asia tensions and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. It marks the first reduction in commercial LPG rates after several months of increases, offering relief to restaurants, catering services and other businesses that rely on commercial gas.
The reduction does not affect household consumers, whose LPG prices remain at the same level, and no further policy changes have been announced for the next review in August.
