India reports beheading in Bihar and child murder in Uttar Pradesh

In Jehanabad district of Bihar, a 22‑year‑old woman, Anshu Kumari, was beheaded by her brother‑in‑law Kunal Kumar after a dispute over food. Police arrested Kumar and launched an investigation into the violent act.

In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, constable Abhishek Yadav was accused of abducting and killing a 10‑year‑old girl. After the girl's body was recovered from a river, hospital staff assaulted Yadav when he was taken for a medical examination. Authorities have recommended his dismissal and are pursuing proceedings under the National Security Act.

Both incidents have sparked local shock and prompted police investigations in their respective states.
