India road accidents kill one, injure dozens

A passenger bus overturned in Kuttippuram, Kerala, while traveling in heavy rain. One person was killed and at least 26 passengers were injured; they were taken to hospitals in the region. Authorities said excessive speed on the slippery roadway was a likely cause and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate incident near Nashik, Maharashtra, 56‑year‑old truck driver Rajubhai Bhanderia died when his truck lost control, struck a bridge barrier and fell roughly 15 metres, crushing him. No other injuries were reported. The crash was captured on security cameras and widely shared on social media.
