India road accidents kill three in Himachal Pradesh, injure one in Jharkhand

A car traveling on NH‑5 near Tapri in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, fell into the Satluj River early Saturday. Rescue teams spent about three hours using a crane to retrieve the vehicle and the bodies of three young men—Nand Lal (39), Amrit Singh (38) and Balu Ram (36)—who died at the scene. Police, Home Guard and NDRF personnel are investigating the cause of the crash.

In Ranchi, Jharkhand, a tractor on Kanke Road suddenly lost control on Saturday evening, striking roughly six motorcycles and scooters. The collision caused extensive vehicle damage, a traffic jam and serious injury to one person who was taken to a hospital. Police have seized the tractor and are probing why it became uncontrollable.
