India Schedules Power Outages in Kashmir and Delhi

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) announced scheduled maintenance on several 33 kV transmission lines that will interrupt electricity supply in parts of Srinagar, Kulgam and Baramulla districts between August 5 and August 10. Specific shutdowns include the Bemina‑Fateh Kadal and Bemina‑Barbarshah lines on August 5 and 8, the Wanpoh‑Qaimoh line on August 6 and 8, the Delina‑Wagoora line on August 8, and the Ahmadpora‑Kongamdara line on August 10, affecting numerous neighborhoods and villages.

In Delhi, power distribution companies BSES Yamuna Power Limited, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited will carry out maintenance on August 3, causing outages in areas such as Krishna Nagar, Rohini Sector 7 and Janakpuri Block B. The cuts, scheduled between roughly 09:30 and 17:00, aim to upgrade transformers and clear overhead lines ahead of the monsoon season.
