India sees major industrial investment in telecom and food sectors
India is seeing significant industrial investment interest across different sectors. In Gwalior, 24 companies have proposed investments totaling approximately ₹5,500 crore for the upcoming Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ). This project aims to establish a dedicated ecosystem for telecom equipment and components, potentially creating over 18,000 direct and indirect jobs. The initiative is part of a national strategy to strengthen domestic manufacturing and secure technology supply chains, particularly for 5G and network infrastructure.
In Uttar Pradesh, the 11th edition of the ‘India Food Expo-2026’ concluded in Lucknow, focusing on the growth of the food processing sector. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak noted that the state is positioning itself as a hub for investment and innovation. The expo aimed to connect the ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain, providing MSMEs with access to new technologies and business opportunities. The event drew approximately 20,000 visitors and entrepreneurs from eight different states.
