India sees new frameworks for AI adoption in education and industry

Two new initiatives have been launched to assess and guide the integration of artificial intelligence in India. QS I-GAUGE released two reports focusing on AI adoption within the Indian education sector. One report examines faculty perspectives on AI in higher education across 146 institutions in 27 states and Union Territories, while the second evaluates the readiness of K-12 schools for AI integration from a teacher's perspective.

Separately, at the AI for India Summit 2026 in Bengaluru, AI4India introduced the AI Diffusion Matrix Report and Assessment Tool. This framework is designed to help organizations transition from AI experimentation to practical, real-world application by assessing progress in technology, infrastructure, skills, governance, and implementation.
