India economy shows growth in real estate, tech funding, and private investment

India is experiencing significant momentum across its real estate, technology, and industrial sectors. In the real estate market, capital inflows reached a record USD 9.5 billion in Q3 2026, driven largely by foreign investors who accounted for 59% of the total. Office leasing also showed strength, with 54.4 million square feet leased between January and September 2026, a 7% year-on-year increase. Bengaluru led this activity, accounting for 29% of total demand.

In the technology sector, funding rose 7% year-on-year to USD 10.3 billion during the first nine months of 2026. While deal volumes declined, larger deal sizes contributed to the increased capital. Meanwhile, the broader economy is seeing a push in private sector capital expenditure, which is projected to rise to approximately ₹3.2 lakh crore in FY27, according to the Reserve Bank of India.

Corporate demand is also shifting toward flexible workspaces and modern infrastructure. Approximately 77% of office occupiers expect to expand their portfolios over the next two years, with 67% planning to incorporate flexible workspace strategies. Additionally, 93% of surveyed organizations have already begun adopting artificial intelligence.
