SIP investment plan shows how middle‑income earners can build crore‑level wealth

Financial experts explain that modest, regular savings can grow into large sums through systematic investment plans (SIPs). Saving just ₹100 a day creates a ₹3,000 monthly corpus; invested in mutual‑fund SIPs with average annual returns of 12‑15% this amount can compound to about ₹30 lakh over 20 years.

For earners with a ₹50,000 monthly salary, allocating 20‑30% of income to a SIP—starting at ₹12,000 per month—could reach roughly ₹1 crore in about 20 years at a 12% return. A “step‑up” SIP, where contributions rise with salary increments, can shorten that horizon. Advisors also stress maintaining an emergency fund, avoiding high‑interest debt, and diversifying across instruments such as Public Provident Fund, digital gold, and fixed deposits.
