India Supreme Court Delays Hearing on Ram Temple Donation Theft Case

India's Supreme Court declined to list the petition seeking an early hearing on the alleged theft of donations from the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. The bench directed that the matter be placed before a regular bench after the summer recess.

The petition, filed by lawyers Ajay Kumar Rai and Dinesh Kumar Yadav, asks for a CBI‑led special investigation team to examine alleged financial irregularities and the missing funds of the trust. The court noted that there is no immediate need for a fast‑track hearing, stating, “the sky will not break.”

Earlier police action resulted in the arrest of eight individuals accused of handling cash and valuables at the temple, and investigators recovered approximately 7.98 million rupees. The case will be scheduled for hearing after the holidays.
