Jitendra Singh to chair 17th Pension Adalat in New Delhi

Union Minister Jitendra Singh will chair the 17th Pension Adalat on October 5 at the TN Chaturvedi Memorial Hall, IIPA, in New Delhi. The session aims to address 897 pending grievances filed by super-senior and family pensioners across 24 ministries and departments via the CPENGRAMS portal.

The Pension Adalat is an initiative by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) designed to provide on-the-spot redressal of long-standing pension issues. By offering a shared platform for stakeholders, the mechanism serves as an alternative to costly and time-consuming litigation, supporting a ‘Whole-of-Government Approach’ to reduce legal disputes.

Since its inception in 2017, the initiative has maintained a 71.79% success rate, resolving 20,676 out of 28,797 grievances across 16 previous editions. Participants in the upcoming session will be able to attend through a hybrid mode, utilizing either physical presence or video conferencing.
