India football teams prepare for AFC U20 qualifiers and Panama friendly

The India U-20 men's football team, known as the Blue Colts, is preparing for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The squad enters the tournament following an unbeaten run in four recent international friendly matches held in Bengaluru. During this preparatory period, the team secured three wins and one draw, notably recording four consecutive clean sheets against Singapore and Yemen.

In a separate announcement, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed that the Indian senior men's national team will host Panama in an international friendly on September 26, 2026. This match marks the first meeting between the two nations and serves as a high-level test for Khalid Jamil's squad against a top-50 FIFA-ranked opponent. The fixture is part of a series of matches against World Cup-participating nations, which includes upcoming games against Brazil and New Zealand.
