India-UAE airfares expected to drop as summer travel rush subsides

Airfares for passengers traveling from India to the United Arab Emirates are expected to decrease significantly as the summer travel peak subsides. Travelers who postpone their journeys until mid-September may see substantial savings on one-way tickets.

A comparison of direct economy fares from major Indian cities shows that average prices could drop by approximately 57 per cent between late August and mid-September. For example, the cheapest direct fare from Bengaluru is projected to fall from around Dh2,513 to approximately Dh914, representing a saving of nearly Dh1,600.

Other notable reductions include fares from Delhi, which may drop from Dh2,227 to Dh825, and routes from Kochi, where travelers could save more than Dh1,200. These price drops are particularly relevant for the large expatriate population from coastal Karnataka and Kerala. However, travel experts note that these lower rates may be temporary before demand rises again for the upcoming Dubai events and winter tourism seasons.
