India warns of LAC tensions over Chinese patrol violations

India has issued a warning regarding potential disruptions to peace along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) following reports that Chinese troops have violated established patrolling norms. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that peace and harmony in border regions are essential for the overall development of bilateral relations between India and China.

The warning follows statements from Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director General Shatrujeet Kapur, who noted ongoing confrontations with Chinese soldiers in several locations along the Arunachal Pradesh border. To manage such situations and prevent incidents similar to the Galwan Valley clash, the ITBP has deployed advanced drone platoons and implemented new ‘strike’ training courses for its personnel.

Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India has observed how situations in border areas can become volatile when Chinese forces deviate from established patrolling patterns. He affirmed that both nations will continue to utilize existing diplomatic and military channels to resolve outstanding issues and avoid misunderstandings or miscalculations.
