India's Civil Aviation Ministry warns against fake Air Suvidha 2.0 websites

The Ministry of Civil Aviation issued a public advisory urging air passengers to verify the official Air Suvidha 2.0 portal (https://airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in/) before sharing personal or travel information. The ministry clarified that all Air Suvidha 2.0 services, including the Self‑Declaration Form, are free of charge and warned that fraudulent sites impersonate the portal and redirect users to payment gateways.

Air Suvidha 2.0 is a fully contactless passenger health self‑declaration system launched with Delhi International Airport Limited to strengthen public‑health surveillance at international entry points amid the Ebola outbreak declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the World Health Organization. The upgraded platform shares traveler data in real time with agencies such as the Airport Health Officer, Bureau of Immigration and the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme.

In the same advisory, the ministry reported domestic airline traffic for Jan‑Jun 2026 at 864.04 lakh passengers, a 1.44 % year‑on‑year increase, and noted a modest monthly decline in June 2026 to 134.64 lakh passengers. Akasa Air recorded the highest passenger‑load factor at 92.2 %.
