India weather: Monsoon deficiency impacts Maharashtra and Jaipur
Parts of India are experiencing dry weather conditions as the monsoon season shows signs of deficiency. In Maharashtra, meteorologists predict a low probability of widespread or heavy rainfall over the next five to six days. This lack of significant precipitation throughout the primary monsoon period from June to September has raised concerns for farmers, particularly in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions.
In Nagpur, weather conditions are expected to remain warm and humid with high humidity levels reaching 92 percent. Meanwhile, Jaipur is forecasted to have clear skies with a maximum temperature of 31°C and a minimum of 21°C, with negligible chances of rain.
While the monsoon typically departs Maharashtra in October, experts suggest that the withdrawal phase may also see below-average rainfall this year.
