India wins bronze in mixed 4x100m relay at Asian Games

The Indian mixed 4x100m relay team secured a bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, setting a new national record. The quartet consisted of Gurindervir Singh, Abhinaya Rajarajan, Animesh Kujur, and Harita Bhadra.

The victory followed a dramatic qualifying heat where Animesh Kujur suffered a fall on a slippery track while passing the baton to Harita Bhadra. Despite the fall, the baton exchange was completed successfully, allowing the team to advance to the final.

Reflecting on the achievement, Kujur dedicated the medal to the nation, his family, and supporting organizations including the Athletics Federation of India, TOPS, Reliance Foundation, and Puma. He noted that the team's high level of motivation helped them overcome challenging, rainy weather conditions during the competition.
