Indian shooters win multiple medals in 10m air rifle at Asian Games
Indian shooters secured multiple medals in the men’s 10m air rifle events at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Himanshu Dhillon won the individual silver medal, while Rudrankksh Patil took the bronze. The two athletes also combined with Parth Mane to earn a silver medal in the team event.
China’s Sheng Lihao dominated the individual competition, winning gold with a Games and Asian record score of 254.2. In the team event, the Chinese trio also set a new world record, finishing ahead of India and South Korea.
Following his bronze medal win, Rudrankksh Patil expressed frustration regarding his lack of recognition, questioning why he has not received the Arjuna Award despite his status as a former world champion and his multiple international titles. Patil noted that he has applied for the honor for three consecutive years.
