India Men's cricket team arrives in New Zealand for multi-format tour

The Indian men's cricket team has arrived in New Zealand to begin a comprehensive tour starting with a five-match T20I series. Led by Shreyas Iyer, with Tilak Varma serving as vice-captain, the squad will face New Zealand beginning October 22 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The tour is scheduled to include T20Is, followed by a five-match ODI series and a two-match Test series.

Preparation for the T20I leg presents challenges for the Indian side, including adapting to colder weather and swinging conditions. The team's bowling consistency remains a point of focus following a 2-2 series draw against the West Indies. Notable inclusions for the tour include the return of experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the T20I setup.

New Zealand will be captained by Mitchell Santner. The tour also features an India A squad participating in three unofficial Test matches against New Zealand A.
