Indian academic institutions announce 2026 recruitment drives

Several prominent Indian academic and research institutions have announced various recruitment drives for 2026, covering faculty, research, and technical roles.

Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) is seeking Deans for Academics, Administration, and Research & Development. Candidates require a minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry.

• BITS Pilani (Hyderabad Campus) is recruiting one Junior Research Fellow in fields such as Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry, with a monthly salary of Rs. 37,000. • IIT Jammu has announced one Research Associate vacancy for candidates with a Ph.D. in relevant engineering disciplines, offering Rs. 49,000 per month. • CSIR NIO is hiring one Project Associate I with a Master’s degree in Geoinformatics at a stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month. • IIT Kanpur is seeking three Project Scientists or Project Engineers across various disciplines, including Computer Science and Earth Sciences, with salaries ranging from Rs. 31,600 to Rs. 78,400.
