Indian academic institutions announce research fellowship recruitments

Several Indian academic institutions have announced recruitment for research positions.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, is seeking a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associate-I for a project titled ‘Ultra Low Power SHAKTI RISC V Based Lightweight Edge AI Processor for IoT enabled Healthcare Applications’. Funded by MeitY’s Chips to Startup (C2S) Programme, the roles are within the Electronics and Communication Engineering department. Eligible candidates require specific degrees in ECE and, for the JRF position, a qualified GATE score.

Separately, the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad has released a notification for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the field of Geology or Applied Geology. The role requires an M.Sc. or M.Tech. degree and a qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET score. The application deadline for the Dhanbad position is September 7, 2026.
