Indian actresses achieve major box office milestones

Several Indian actresses have achieved significant box office success by having multiple films exceed the 200 crore rupee mark within a single year.

Alia Bhatt saw a major career milestone in 2022 with the releases of ‘RRR’, ‘Brahmastra’, and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. ‘RRR’ earned over 1,000 crore rupees globally, ‘Brahmastra’ collected approximately 450 crore rupees, and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ surpassed 200 crore rupees.

Deepika Padukone achieved similar success in 2013. Her films ‘Chennai Express’ earned roughly 425 crore rupees, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ grossed approximately 320 crore rupees worldwide, and ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ collected about 202 crore rupees.
