Indian actresses reflect on mentorship for Teachers’ Day

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Indian actresses Priyamvada Kant and Sayantani Ghosh have shared reflections on the mentors and experiences that have shaped their lives and careers.

Priyamvada Kant honored her mother, Ratnabali Kant, describing her as her “biggest teacher and my most favourite teacher.” Kant noted that her mother provided guidance through every major life phase, from childhood steps to her professional journey in the entertainment industry, instilling values of discipline and confidence.

Sayantani Ghosh, known for her role in Zee TV’s Jagadhatri, identified her professional career as her primary mentor. While acknowledging the foundation laid by school teachers, Ghosh stated that her acting journey has been her “greatest classroom,” with hands-on experience serving as her “ultimate guru” in mastering the nuances of her craft.
