Indian Air Force Band to perform at National War Memorial

To mark Independence Day, the Indian Air Force (IAF) Band will deliver a special musical performance at the National War Memorial's Public Plaza, Param Yodha Sthal, in Delhi. The one-hour event, scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., will feature 40 musicians, including 32 Airmen and eight Agniveervayu, three of whom are women. The performance will commemorate 150 years of the national song 'Vande Mataram' through a repertoire of patriotic compositions. The event will be led by principal conductor Master Warrant Officer A Srihari.

In a separate development, IAF pilots have concluded their participation in Exercise Pitch Black 2026. The biennial multinational air combat exercise was hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force in Australia’s Northern Territory and Queensland. The exercise, which ran from July 20 to August 7, involved 21 nations, 100 aircraft, and 2,500 personnel, focusing on enhancing interoperability and combat readiness through joint operations.
