Indian Air Force Chief visits UAE to strengthen defence ties

Indian Air Force Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A P Singh met with Major General Staff Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defence, to discuss strengthening military and defence cooperation. The discussions focused on issues of mutual interest aimed at enhancing security and stability within the region.

This visit follows previous high-level military engagements between the two nations, including a meeting in June between UAE Land Forces Deputy Commander Brigadier General Staff Mohamed Khamees Mohamed Al-Hassani and Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. These interactions highlight the growing depth of India-UAE defence relations, with an emphasis on expanding professional exchanges and identifying new collaborative avenues. The strengthening of these institutional ties aligns with the shared vision for regional security established during UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official visit to India in January.
