Prashant Singh appointed SAI Regional Director for Gandhinagar

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has appointed Prashant Singh as the Regional Director for its Gandhinagar centre. In this role, Singh will oversee regional operations across the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Singh brings over a decade of experience in sports administration. His background includes significant work with the Khelo India Scheme, the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), and the Olympic Cell. He has also contributed to the development of the Central Athlete Injury Management System (CAIMS) and has supported Indian teams for major international events such as the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

A primary objective of his appointment is to strengthen the sporting pipeline in the region, ranging from grassroots talent identification to high-performance preparation. Additionally, Singh aims to develop the National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) in Gandhinagar into a leading national hub for Para Sports.
