Indian Air Force Sarang Team to perform air show in Chhattisgarh

The Indian Air Force (IAF) Sarang helicopter display team will perform an air show in Nava Raipur on November 2 to celebrate Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day. The event is scheduled to take place at the Sendh Lake area starting at 11:00 AM.

Led by Group Captain Abhijit Kumar, the team will utilize five indigenous Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) ‘Dhruv’ to perform coordinated aerial maneuvers. The helicopters feature a color scheme inspired by the peacock, India’s national bird. The display team includes pilots such as Squadron Leader Ankita and Squadron Leader Akshaya.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with members of the Sarang team at his residence in Raipur. The Chief Minister noted that the performance would showcase India's technical capabilities and the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India) through the use of indigenous aviation technology. He also highlighted that the participation of female pilots serves as an inspiration for the youth of the state.
