An Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander has been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly leaking sensitive defense information and classified documents to Pakistani intelligence operatives. The officer was reportedly targeted through a social media "honey trap" orchestrated by a woman acting on behalf of handlers in Pakistan.

According to investigators, the officer was navigating personal difficulties when the operative established contact via social media, eventually progressing to video calls. The officer is accused of sharing crucial data, including military deployments, troop movements, photographs, and videos of defense units. Additionally, he allegedly facilitated the installation of spyware or remote-access malware on a colleague's mobile phone to track locations and intercept communications.

The arrest followed several months of active surveillance by the IAF’s intelligence wing. The officer has been booked under the Official Secrets Act and is currently in judicial custody at Tihar Jail. A chargesheet was filed on July 30, 2026. Authorities believe the case may be part of a larger espionage network focused on collecting strategic military intelligence.
