Indian and UK navies hold 17th Executive Steering Group meeting
The Indian and United Kingdom navies held the 17th Executive Steering Group meeting in New Delhi from October 14-15. Co-chaired by Rear Admiral Sachin Sequeira and Major General Paul Maynard, the discussions focused on expanding operational and practical collaboration, as well as exploring cooperation in emerging technologies and future maritime capabilities.
In conjunction with these high-level meetings, the Indian Navy’s guided-missile stealth frigate, INS Trishul, arrived in Plymouth, UK, on October 11 to participate in Exercise Konkan-26. The exercise includes both sea and harbour phases. During the harbour phase, Indian High Commissioner P. Kumaran and UK Minister of State for Defence Readiness and Industry Luke Pollard participated in ceremonial events and interacted with the crew.
