Indian Army and Air India partner to provide aviation jobs for Veer Naris

A collaboration between the Indian Army and Air India has begun providing employment opportunities in the aviation sector for Veer Naris (war widows) and their dependents. So far, 58 candidates have been selected nationwide for various roles in aviation and airport services.

Through Air India SASATS Airport Services Private Limited, selected individuals are receiving training in ground services, including passenger assistance, baggage management, and aircraft operations. In the first phase, 16 candidates, including Veer Naris and their children, completed their training and have already been employed. Notably, two women from this initiative have secured international positions.

The program also aims to expand vocational training to 25 Asha Schools, which support the education and welfare of children from military and cantonment areas, including those with special needs.
