Indian Army generals assess operational readiness at Danapur and Kausani bases

Lieutenant General V. M. B. Krishnan, commander of the Eastern Command, visited the headquarters of the Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area and the Bihar Regiment Centre in Danapur. He received briefings on the formation’s operational, training and logistic readiness, highlighted Agniveer training under the Agnipath Scheme, and reviewed humanitarian assistance and disaster‑relief (HADR) capabilities, veteran welfare initiatives and civil‑military cooperation programs.

Lieutenant General D. G. Misra, head of the Uttar Bharat Area, inspected Kausani Military Station. The briefing focused on the integration of advanced technologies, the induction of next‑generation equipment and the development of indigenous innovations to improve surveillance, mobility and logistics. He praised the troops’ professionalism and the force’s drive toward self‑reliance and modernization, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to continuous capability enhancement and mission‑ready posture.
