Indian Army signs MoU for educational fee concessions in Karnataka

The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guru Nanak Group of Institutions in Bidar, Karnataka, to provide tuition fee concessions for the children of serving and retired personnel. The agreement aims to enhance educational opportunities and support the aspirations of military families. Under the terms, increased assistance will be provided to children of personnel who made the supreme sacrifice and to children with disabilities.

In a separate development, Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth presented the ‘Yoddha Seva Samman’ to three distinguished veterans during a seminar in New Delhi. The awardees included Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) BMS Bains for his work supporting over 70,000 veterans with pension and legal issues, Naib Subedar (Retd) Khagen Chandra Das for his service to veterans in remote areas of Tamulpur, and Havildar (Retd) Anup Kumar Mahato for his dedication to empowering underprivileged youth in West Bengal and Jharkhand.
